Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to complete a firearm transfer smoothly and efficiently.

Step 1: Contact Corvus Firearms

Before initiating the transfer process, it’s essential to get in touch with Corvus Firearms to inform them about your intention to transfer a firearm. You can reach out to them via phone 956 254 7109 or email to discuss the details of the transfer and any specific requirements they may have.

Step 2: Gather Required Information

To facilitate the transfer process, we will need to gather some essential information, including:

  • Your personal details (name, address, contact information)
  • Details of the firearm you intend to transfer (make, model, serial number)
  • Any pertinent documentation related to the firearm (purchase receipt, ownership documents)

Having this information readily available will streamline the transfer process and ensure everything moves smoothly.

Step 3: Arrange for Firearm Shipment

Once you’ve coordinated with Corvus Firearms and gathered all the necessary information, you’ll need to arrange for the shipment of the firearm to their location. Ensure that you comply with all federal and state laws regarding the shipping of firearms to avoid any legal complications.

Step 4: Visit Corvus Firearms for Background Check

Once the firearm has been delivered to our location, you will need to visit Corvus Firearms to complete the transfer process. Below are the fees for the transfer:

  • For the first firearm you want to transfer for LTC holders:  $65 (Includes the background check).
  • For the first firearm you want to transfer for non LTC holders:  $75 (Includes the background check).
  • Additional serial numbers: $20 each (If you need to transfer more the 3 serial numbers, please contact us)

During your visit, you will undergo the required background check. Once the background check is completed, and all necessary paperwork is processed, the firearm will be transferred to you legally.

Step 5: Complete Transfer Paperwork

Before leaving Corvus Firearms premises, ensure that you complete all necessary paperwork related to the firearm transfer. This may include filling out a transfer form, providing identification, and signing any required documents.

Step 6: Take Possession of the Firearm

Once all paperwork is completed and the background check has been approved, you will be able to take possession of the transferred firearm.  If you are delayed on the background check for any reason, you will be notified once we have the approval and can schedule another day to pick up your firearm.   

Disclaimer:

If you have a firearm come in for a transfer you must notify the shop, Failing to notify the shop before ordering said firearm will result in a automatic $100 transfer fee.

If you’re unable to pick up your transfer within the first week of it arriving at the shop there will be a $25 storage fee added on to the total transfer cost. addition to a $5 daily storage fee. If the firearm is not picked up within 60 days at our shop we will consider your firearm abandoned and it will be sold to recoup any and all fees that have accumulated for the transfer.
